Here’s a quick look at the fabrication techniques used to create this 10’ long marlin model. The marlin was included in the promotions for the 2012 HBO movie, “Hemingway & Gelhorn”.

Mold is made, line up of bolts holding it together, and a silicone skin is injected into the molds
This is a pneumatic animation core that fits inside the bill fish's silicone skin.
Colored mica is brushed into the mold, embedding into the silicone skin.
